Based on the precise measurement of object dimensions, distance and the identification of free spaces of the stereo video camera, the construction zone assist is able to detect other vehicles, lane markings and lane boundaries such as concrete walls and crash barriers.If the vehicle gets too close to a boundary while driving through a curb alley, the system issues a warning or corrects the movement of the vehicle via steering wheel, maintaining a safe lateral distance between the vehicle and the curb. In addition, the accessible corridor will be analyzed by the construction zone assist.
