Based on the data of the stereo-video camera, the pedestrian protection assist can trigger at a speed up to 60 km/h an automatic emergency braking or if required an evasive maneuver. The reaction will be carried out due to the stereo-video-principle (3D measurement) on all moving and stationary objects that cannot be ridden over.
