The Axle Split Hybrid System combines lower fuel consumption and environmental benefits with the attractions of driving an electric drive unit: In other words, an approximately 25 % reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions unite with both electric and hybrid drive options - without noticeable gear shifts.
