Bosch Start/Stop technology is simple to explain.The system works by switching off the engine (whether petrol or diesel) when the vehicle comes to a complete standstill, for example at traffic lights. When the clutch is depressed, or the foot is taken off the brake pedal for automatic transmission, the engine restarts seamlessly in a fraction of a second.Start/Stop can reduce vehicle CO2 emissions by around 10% in town driving and up to 15% in city traffic. This technology also reduces noise pollution.
