3M is a proud sponsor of the 2012 American Solar Car Challenge as part of its commitment to supporting students and educators in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. On July 14, teams from 18 colleges and universities departed in solar cars from Rochester, N.Y., on an 8-day journey across 8 states. Powered only by the sun and their creativity, teams arrived at the state capitol in St. Paul, MN on July 21.
