El ensayo trasero reproduce el efecto que tendría un impacto sobre la parte trasera de un vehículo, a velocidad moderada. Para ello, una barrera móvil impacta contra el vehículo objeto de estudio, a una velocidad entre 15 y 16 km/h en el 40% de su parte trasera derecha, con el vehículo girado 10º en sentido antihorario, respecto a su eje longitudinal.

The rear test reproduces the effect that an impact would have on the rear part of the vehicle, at a moderate speed. A mobile barrier crashes against the vehicle under study at a speed of between 15 and 16 kph, affecting 40% of its rear right part, with the vehicle turned 10% anticlockwise from its longitudinal axis.
