The DISTRONIC PLUS adaptive control system helps the driver to keep the vehicle at the desired distance from the vehicle in front, even in stop and go traffic. This radar-based function has now been expanded to include the Steering Assist, which supports the driver with lateral lane guidance. On straight roads and even in gentle bends, it helps the driver to remain in the center of the lane by generating steering torque.
